Asp net gridview rowupdating firing twice dating cabo san lucas
it is also binded in code behind to s data table (generated on the fly) .
good day to all, i'm also having the problem of the Grid View1_Row Updating event not firing... the gridview is inside an update panel and the columns are generated in code behind...
This means that when the user does an update, the data from that update is lost.
But I think I can´t avoid to do this, because if I don't, the runtime created controls fade away.
Well, there's a couple things to try: First is the On Blur event that is fired client-side by focus leaving that textbox. Otherwise, you need to do it On Key Press and check for the enter key being pressed, which is key=13 i believe.... See:: Key To Button Based on my understanding, you want to fire row update event when user press enter key.
First of all , I guess the textbox is inside the Grid View control, and you put the code in the wrong place . So when user press key , the onkeydown event will fire. And when you make out the enter key is pressed, you can invoke the update button's click() method manully by using javascirpt code to perform row update.
Within the Item Template I have an Image Buttong with a Command Name of "Edit".
I have set the requisite attributes in the Grid View tag.
From there, the rowcommand event will fire twice over and over. Binding to the gridview occurs when the reader.nextresultset is called. Sub Page_Load if not page.ispostback then Bind Course Media end if End Sub Sub Bind Course Media Everything works fine now. This is pretty irritating IMO, since the gridview is not working properly out of the box. I removed the On Row Command attribute from the Grid View declaration in the page and the double-firing of that event stopped.
If they click "Order More", it will take them to the previous page to select more items. George Bind occurs through the Page Load event using a Sql Data Reader. Exception Handled = True End If End If End Sub Since Google returned this as the top hit for my search, I thought it may be helpful to put my solution in here.
things to keep in mind: * use the preinit event to add the controls * remove the gridview from the control collection since it shouldn't be rendered (it would be event better if you build a method that creates the grid; however, it seems like you want to wrap controls that exist on the page, so maybe that won't be possible) *i've changed the code that gets the text from the cells. as allways, no garantees on this code : WOW, fabulous, thanks Luis!!!!
I have a web application that shows a controls group based on a result set from a database.
