AOL changed its brand from an ISP to an internet portal.
I guess you can still use AIM if you like, but I don't know if it has chatrooms unless you create your own with other users.
I think they were a cool way for singles to meet, and I have serious doubts that popular dating sites like and Plenty of Fish can replicate the excitement of entering a chat room and starting random conversations.
I've tried the chat feature inside Plenty of Fish and it's horrible and clunky.
